Duane Vincent Belton's Obituary
With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we will be celebrating Duaneās life filled with Faith, Love and Music!
Duane was born on December 16th, 1964 in Jonesboro, Louisiana to Roosevelt and Doris (Smith) Belton. He passed away on March 24th, 2026 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his dad, Roosevelt Belton, older sister Riseā Lynnae Jackson and younger brother Trent DuVol Belton.
He graduated from Grambling University in 1987 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He moved to Houston soon thereafter and landed at Compaq (before it was HP) and then continued to climb the corporate ladder and travel the world from there on. However, he left the corporate world as soon as his kids were born and made a great living as a musician, singing and playing the piano at countless venues and private events in and around the Houston, Tomball, Cypress, and Woodlands area.
Duane will be remembered for his extreme dedication to his family, cooking, his passion for helping others, and his infectious smile. As we mourn a tremendous loss, we also celebrate the amazing life he led. Remembering his joy and smiles he brought to the world with his witty humor, one-of-a-kind personality, and his smooth jazz music!
He leaves behind his dear wife, Aisha and his beautiful daughter, Amarissa (16) and his amazing son, Duane Jr.(13); his mother, Doris Belton; nieces, Brittany Curtis, Diamond Jackson and Robyn Belton; nephew, Tyler Belton; great nephew, Dorian; great nieces, Kya and Bostyn. He also leaves behind his half-sister, Roshanda Belton; sister-in-law, Rhonda Belton; aunt, Kymberly Bradford and an array of cousins and close friends.
Music was a part of who he was, and he used that gift to glorify God and touch the hearts of those around him. He leaves a great legacy behind, and we will cherish the memories forever. With that in mind, we invite you to listen to one of his songs and reflect on the joy, faith, and love he shared with us.
