My condolences to Duane's wife, children and his entire family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Draw closer and lean on each other for comfort and support. Duane was such a wonderful person to know and he loved all of you so much. When you met him for the first time it was like you and him have been friends for years. I thank God for his friendship since 1989. Rest in peace my friend.

It popped up on my memories yesterday. On April 9, 2011, hard to believe that was 15 years ago. My friends and I went to Baytown Seafood to listening Ronnie Stallworth. About halfway through his set in walks this tall, burly guy with his hat on backwards. We didn't know if he was coming to eat or what, but it was evident that Ronnie knew him. They spoke a few words to each other and the next thing we knew he was hauling in equipment. And he played with Ronnie the rest of the night. Even let one of my friends sing with them. Duane and I became Facebook friends and I would watch his page to see where he was playing. And finally, he got a gig closer to my side of town. And a friend and I went to see him at the Vine Wine Room on several occasions. From time to time I would try to convince him that I needed a lunch to take to work just like the one he fixed for his children to take to school. And he would make jabs at me about not being a morning person and tell me he been up for hours whistling away by the time I got out of bed. I regret not getting out to see him more. My prayers and deepest condolences go out to his family. Duane will indeed be missed.
Resolution in Honor of Duane Vincent Belton
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. — 2 Timothy 4:7
WHEREAS, Almighty God, in His infinite wisdom, has called from labor to eternal rest His faithful servant, Duane Vincent Belton, who departed this life on March 24, 2026, at the age of 61; and
WHEREAS, Belton lived a life marked by faith, dignity, and devotion, exemplifying the spirit of servanthood and commitment to God, family, and community; and
WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished family member, whose presence brought strength, love, and unity to all who knew him; and
WHEREAS, His life reflected compassion, integrity, and unwavering faith, serving as an inspiration and encouragement to many; and
WHEREAS, Though he has departed from our presence, his legacy of faith, love, and service shall forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Presiding Bishop, officers, and members of Holy Mount Ministries International (HMMI), pause to honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Duane Vincent Belton, giving thanks to God for the gift of his life and witness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That we extend our deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Belton family, asking God to comfort, strengthen, and sustain them during this time of bereavement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to the family and preserved in the archives of HMMI as a lasting tribute of love, honor, and remembrance.

Duane and I were friends from our hometown. Even though years and life have separated us, Duane was one of the most thoughtful people I know. We met through his sister, Rise’, who was my friend during high school, but he and I developed a very special friendship that stood the test of time. He was a great listener, who was wise beyond his age. He was also a gifted musician and singer, who provided his musical talents at my wedding almost 35 years ago. I am still in shock, but I know that he will watch over his wife, kids, mom, and nieces from heaven. God has called an awesome person home. 🙏🏾
Heaven gained another angel. He was so kind, talented, a man who loved his family and the Lord. May his memory be eternal. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
I was very blessed to know Duane and to call him a friend. I was honored that he shared his talent at Three20Three he was enjoyed and loved by all. He loved his family. Prayers for Aisha and the children.
