Trent Juddson De Lo Santos' Obituary
Our story begins on August 22, 1985, and then continues on May 28, 1989, with the birth of a beautiful little girl, who would one day bring a superhero into the world.
Our superhero, Trent “TJ” Juddson De Los Santos, passed away peacefully in his parents’ arms at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. Trent bravely fought Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) and had recently undergone a successful heart surgery. However, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, he became unresponsive due to an unknown cause. Despite the dedicated efforts of the medical team, our beloved boy took his last heartbeat at 9:26 AM on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at just 18 months old. Trent had the gift of life and radiated joy despite his health struggles. His smile could brighten anyone's day within moments. Our Trenty impacted countless lives, teaching invaluable lessons in love, strength, and determination.
During the first 236 days of his life, Trent spent time at Texas Children’s Hospital, undergoing several successful open-heart surgeries and procedures, receiving love and healing from many. His smile lit up any room, and he was undeniably a handsome boy, with luscious hair and beautiful long eyelashes—truly the ladies’ man. We like to think he enjoyed “visiting” the hospital for spa days with the nurses. Trent loved chocolate, Paw Patrol, laughter, and racing around in his walker. He delighted in throwing his toys from the high chair, seeking attention, and enjoyed dancing and clapping to music with his mom. He had playful shouting matches with his sister Bella and loved playing peek-a-boo with his brother Houston. He would sneakily grab Dr. Pepper bottles from his brother Baby whenever he could and cherished wrestling matches with his dad. His heart overflowed with love! He embodied the true spirit of a superhero, adored by his family, doctors, nurses, and everyone he met.
Trent Juddson De Los Santos was born on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 9:19 AM to Betsy and Domingo De Los Santos at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas, weighing 8 pounds 5 ounces—truly the lion he was (Leo). He arrived with a thick head of hair that drew everyone in and adorable chunky cheeks that begged to be pinched.
Trent is survived by his siblings Gwyndalyn, Baby Aiden, Travis, Houston Ari, Bella Vida, and his niece Catalina, along with his grandfather Carlos Martinez-Maldonado and grandmother Rosalinda De Los Santos, great-grandmother Eulalia Lopez-Gama, uncles and aunts Candy and Joshua Sater and Gabriel and Brenda, Aurora and Christopher. Cousins Laura, Joshua Phoenix and Lucus. His godfather is David “Sleepy” H. Martinez.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Francisca Guadalupe Martinez-Gama, paternal grandfather Mickey De La Rosa, paternal great-grandparents Aurora Facundo De Los Santos and Domingo R. De Los Santos, maternal great-grandfather Antonio Gama, and grandparents Santa Maldonado-Pontaza and Ricardo Martinez-Hernandez, along with paternal great-uncle Gerardo “Lalo” De Los Santos and cousin Dinosaur.
Trent, please watch over us and give hugs and kisses to our family in heaven from all of us. You will forever be our Heart Warrior.
