Rodolfo Delgado Sr.'s Obituary
Rodolfo Delgado Sr., lovingly known as “Rudy” and affectionately called Rude Dawg by those closest to him. He passed away on April 29, 2026, in Moulton, Texas, at the age of 52. Born on July 27, 1973, in Houston, Texas, Rudy lived a life defined by passion, presence, and an unwavering devotion to God and family.
Rudy was one of thirteen children born to Jose, Sr. and Petra Delgado. A large but, deeply connected family. He is survived by his children, Rodolfo Delgado Jr., Jamie Rosario Palma, and Celine Rivera, as well as his parents, his brothers and sisters: Maria Delgado, Pablo Delgado, Rosario Palma, Silvia Delgado-Ibarra, Jose Juan Delgado Sr., Cristina Delgado-Urueta, Angela Schneider “twin”, Vicki Jimenez-Clotiaux “Moo-Cow”, Adriana Delgado, Jose Delgado, Jr., Juan Esteban Delgado, Cornelio Flores, numerous nephews and nieces, and countless cherished loved ones whose lives were brightened by his spirit. He is preceded in death by wife: Olga Lydia Delgado, brother: Jorge Delgado, nephew: Jonathan Alexis Jimenez, and brother-in-law’s: Jamie Santiago Palma, Marcelino Garcia, Jamie Rivera.
A hardworking craftsman, Rudy spent his life laying asphalt across the United States, dedicating himself to perfecting his trade. His work ethic was matched only by his vibrant personality. Rudy was known for his youthful energy, his magnetic presence, and his love for the finer things, especially his signature Armani clothing. His radiant soul, deep faith, and boundless love for his family carried him through many adventures, friendships, and unforgettable memories.
To know Rudy was to feel his warmth, his humor, and the unmistakable light he brought into every room. His legacy lives on in the stories shared by those who loved him and in the lives he touched with his generosity, loyalty, and joy.
