Ramiro Rene Gonzalez's Obituary
Those who knew Ramiro Rene, (WoWo, Monet, Rome), even just a little, lost a shining
light in their lives. He was smart, handsome and tall, always shining light like a
Lighthouse.
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Ramiro Rene Gonzalez, age
37, our beloved son, big brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend on
Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in a tragic car accident.
Ramiro Rene was born September 17, 1984 in Houston, TX to Ramiro Gonzalez, Jr.
and Debra Leos Sauceda. Ramiro Rene worked in the Music Entertainment as a
Promoter and traveled to numerous cities in which he put his grit, heart and soul into.
He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, his “looking fly” style, and his kind
loving spirit. He had a passion for music, working with well-known artists, and for
creating connections among friends and family.
Ramiro Rene was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Maria Pura
Gonzalez, maternal grandfather, Matias Leos, uncle Martin Leos, aunt Julie Castillo,
and cousin Donald Elster. He is survived by his father, Ramiro Gonzalez and wife
Kimberlee, and mother, Debra Leos and fiancé Charles Hurn, his sister Michelle
Gressett and her husband Brent Gressett and his nephews, Brayden and Tyler, niece,
Kinsey, his grandfather Ramiro C. Gonzalez and wife Ofelia, his grandmother, Patricia
Casas, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. with a 4:00 p.m. Celebration of Life service on
Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Hernandez Funeral Home Houston, 1219 Quitman St.,
Houston, TX 77009. You are invited by the family to the reception to be held
immediately after the service, 6-8 p.m. at 8990 Kirby Drive, Suite 220, Houston, TX
77054. You will be able to share your moments with Ramiro Rene with his family and
food will be served
