Paul Howard Smith's Obituary
Paul Howard Smith, 71, passed away on April 4, 2026 in Houston, Texas following an extended illness. He was born in April 3, 1955 in Seguin, Texas, son of the late Pauline Armstrong Lindsey and George Howard Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marcia “Christi” Freeman (Jim) and half-brother Eric Smith. He is survived by his loving and supportive wife of 36 years, Judye Shaffer-Smith; half-brother Brad Smith (Pauline Teh), FL; nephews, Jay and Shane Freeman (Lisa), Texas and niece, Madison Smith, Utah; Step-Mother, Peggy Smith and step-sister Joy Kelly (Chris), TN; several cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a great-great-nephew, Texas.
The family would like to especially thank Judye’s niece, Carol Zingelmann, whose endless support these past few years has been invaluable overseeing Paul many personal and medical needs.
There are no funeral arrangements at this time. Paul will be cremated and laid to rest at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
