Mary Ann Spilman, died peacefully with her family by her side at her home in Rosenberg, TX on April 6, 2025. She was born in Junction, TX on October 23, 1947 to Ruth and Emmett Cupps. Mary Ann graduated from Central High School in San Angelo, TX where she later met her future husband, David Spilman. They were married for 58 years. Mary Ann retired from Fort Bent County Sheriff’s Office after 23 years of service to the citizens of Fort Bend County.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Emmett Cupps and is survived by husband (David Spilman), daughter (Deanna Burciaga), son-in-law (Al Burciaga), grandson (Justin Burciaga), sister (Shirley Sturm), brother (Charles Cupps), and several nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann’s wishes were to be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later time. Donations can be made in Mary Ann’s name at Fort Bend Helping Heroes Charity.
