Maria G. Lemus' Obituary
The family of Maria Lemus announce her passing on June 24th, 2026. She never recovered from a stroke she had in January of 2025. With the loving care she received from her daughters Mary and Yolanda we were able to enjoy her for over a year and a half. Maria (gramma/abuelita) was a gramma to many, she babysat countless children, was an excellent cook, cooking many of our favorites like molè, albondigas, fideo, rice, tortillas, and tamales, she liked to crochet until her eyesight stopped her, she was an avid Loteria player up to the very end.
Maria will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mary Gamboa (Manvel), Susana (Mike Hoelscher Sweet Home), Anita (Michael Mccrory Mount Bellview), Yolanda Gamboa (Channelview) Rosa (Van Newby Shiner), Narciso Gamboa (Norma Sweet Home), Johnny Lemus (James Motejzik Cypress), grandchildren Jason Gonzalez, Monica (Abel Salazar), Andreana (Melissa Acosta), Mel Gamboa, Mark (Laura Acosta), Matthew (Ariel McCrory), Amanda Mccrory, Illyana (Domingo Gonzales-Gunville), Alex Gamboa, Angela Gamboa, Megan (Nathan Comeaux) Joshua Gamboa, Anabelle Gamboa, and great grandchildren Amelia, Owen, Sadie Acosta, Aiden, Alaina Salazar, Safaia, Emmaya, and Elisha McCrory, Arlo Acosta, Aurora Gonzales-Gunville and numerous other family members and friends.
Maria was predeceased by her parents Maria del Rayo and Macedonio, siblings Enriquetta Garcia, Hortensia Campos, Soledad Gutierrez, and Alicia Flores, children Carlos, Luz Elena, and Mauricio.
Memorial donations in Maria’s name may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus 6502 Co Rd 48 Manvel Texas.
