Maggie Parnell's Obituary
Maggie Parnell passed away on June 6, 2026, in Pasadena, Texas, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Born in Danville, Virginia, Maggie lived a life filled with adventure, resilience, and meaningful connections. Over the years, she called many places home, including Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, touching the lives of countless people along the way.
Maggie made friends wherever she went and built a life rich with experiences and relationships. She worked in a variety of fields throughout her life, including as a pipefitter for Brown & Root in Houston and as a Yellow Cab driver in Pensacola, Florida. She was an avid bowler and bingo player who enjoyed spending time with friends and sharing laughter with those around her. She also loved to crochet, and made gifts made by her own hands for her loved ones. Maggie attended services at Family of Hope World Ministries in Pensacola FL, later virtually when she moved away and could no longer attend in person.
Maggie is now reunited with those who preceded her in death: her mother, Rose Vaughn; her father, John Colomb; her sister, Donna Huggins; and her daughter, April Michelle Davis.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughter, Chre, and son-in-law, Tyrone Duquesne; her son, Sean Parnell, and daughter-in-law, Angela Parnell; and her son, Charles Steiner. She will also be deeply missed by her grandsons, James Waydick and Kael Land; her sisters, Traci Farmer and Sharon Hendricks; her dear friend, Doug Mitchell; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Maggie's warmth, strength, independent spirit, and sense of adventure will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. Though she is gone from our sight, her memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
