Dorothy Anne Anderson's Obituary
Dorothy Anne Anderson was born the eighth child of thirteen on February 28,1943 in Mer Rouge Louisiana, to Marvin and Alice Anderson. Dorothy attended school in Mer Rouge, Louisiana. She dedicated her life to Christ as a young child and was baptized in Monroe Louisiana by Kev. Bell. Dorothy, her parents and younger siblings moved to Texas in 1958. Here in Houston is where she spent the rest of her life. Along with members of the Anderson Family, she became a member of St. Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she ushered for many years.
Dorothy departed this life March 31, 2026. She is preceded in death by her two eldest sons Kenneth & Marvin parents Marvin and Alice Anderson, one sister and nine brothers. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories her children: Ivy, Keith, and Curtrina (Thurston Spears); two sisters Cora and Fannie; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was also an aunt and adoptive mother to Lakesha (Cedric Dibble), Sharlita, and Mose. Which includes A host of special Grandchildren
