Diana, age 69, of Eagle Pass, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. She was born to Maria E. Martinez and was a long-time member of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, where she would volunteer to sing in the choir and street ministries. She lived her life as a devoted Christian wife, mother, and grandmother.
Throughout her life, she was known for her kindness, generosity, and dedication to the Church, children, family and friends. She is now Resting in Peace with her Mother, Maria E. Martinez and grandchild David Kato. She is remembered by her loving husband of 27 years, John Greathouse. She is survived by her children, Cindy Kato and Tomas Kato III, and Daughter-in-law, Stephanie Kato, Grandchildren Jordan Kato, Devon Kato, Jacob Oviedo, Ruby Requena, Joey Kato, Aaliyah Kato, Jhené Kato, Ayanna Reyes, Miliyah Reyes, Kattaleya Carranza and Joziah Carranza and great grandchildren – Jacob Oviedo Jr. (whom she always called Bobos), Amanda Kato, Andy Kato and Kru Kato and Brother, Jose and Sandra Guerra, and Sister, Veronica and Jose Luis Garcia, and cousin (Sister) Paloma Mendez and many other relatives and dear friends.
Diana enjoyed reading her Bible and giving to others and feeding the homeless.
She will be deeply missed by everyone who loved her. Her kindness, unwavering faith, and gentle spirits will remain in our hearts forever.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of the Lord. Her love and legacy will continue to live on through her Family and all whose lives she touched.
