Claude Edward Eldridge III's Obituary
Claude "Scooter" Eldridge III, 66, of Houston, Texas, passed away on July 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Scooter was an entrepreneur and a man of many talents. He had a gift for building, fixing, and creating, and there wasn't much he couldn't do. Whether he was working, helping a friend, or spending time outdoors, he approached life with determination, generosity, and a willingness to lend a hand. He found great joy in fishing, hunting, motorcycles, and tattoos, but above all else, Scooter treasured his family. He was married to the love of his life, Brenda Eldridge, for nearly 50 years. Their marriage was built on love, commitment, and a lifetime of memories together. Scooter loved his friends and family deeply and would do anything for anyone. He was the kind of man people could always count on, and his kindness and generosity touched countless lives. His greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren. He especially loved spending time with them and would have gone to the ends of the earth for each of them.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. He was proceeded in death by his parents Claude Eldridge II and Margie Eldridge, his sister Virginia Whaley, brother Harry (Jr.) Gaw and brother-in-law Tommy Valentine. He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Eldridge; his son, Claude "Ed" Eldridge IV and wife Cassie; his daughter, Alexis Eldridge and husband Blake; his granddaughter Kamri Eldridge and husband Jacob; his grandson, Claude "Little Man" Eldridge V; his granddaughter Kayleigh Eldridge; his grandsons, Colt Trammell and Brixton Trammell, sister Jackie Valentine, brother Ricky Fletcher and wife Amanda, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing him. Although our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing Scooter's legacy of love, strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family will live on through those who knew and loved him. His memory will be honored with the songs that meant so much.
