Charles Michael Moore Sr.'s Obituary
Charles Michael Moore, Sr. was born on July 11, 1950, and on December 31, 2025, he peacefully entered eternal rest, surrounded by love and the assurance of God’s promise.
At an early age, Charles—affectionately known as “Big Mike”—gave his life to Christ and was raised as a faithful member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. His relationship with God became the foundation of his life, guiding his values, shaping his character, and sustaining him through every season. His faith was not only spoken but lived daily through his actions, integrity, and compassion for others.
Mike was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and family man. He took great pride in being present, dependable, and supportive, always placing the needs of his family above his own. His calm spirit, steady nature, and quiet strength provided comfort and security to those who leaned on him. He loved deeply and consistently, never seeking recognition, yet leaving a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know him.
Mike found joy in coaching sports—especially his sons’ teams—where he taught teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. He loved building and fixing things, working in his yard, and taking pride in what his hands could create. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his wife and his grandchildren, whose laughter, accomplishments, and presence brought him his greatest happiness.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Arceli; his two sons, Charles Michael Moore, Jr. (Mike) and Cory; a stepson and stepdaughter; daughters-in-law and son-in-law; twelve grandchildren; four sisters; two brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Charles Michael Moore now rests in the presence of the Lord, reunited in heaven with his parents, his beloved grandmother, and his cherished dog, Mojo. Though his earthly journey has ended, his legacy of faith, love, mentorship, and devotion lives on through the many lives he touched.
