Carolyn Jean Loper Love's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Carolyn Jean Loper Love
Today we celebrate the life and homegoing of a fervant woman of God, a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life reflected Christ’s love in everything she did. Her 80 years of adventure on earth came to a peaceful close as she stepped into glory and into the loving arms of her Savior on November 25, 2025.
Born on August 17, 1945, she lived her life as a loyal servant of the Lord, walking in grace, humility, and compassion. Her faith was not only spoken—it was displayed daily in the way she prayed for others, encouraged those who were weary, cared for her family, and blessed every person she met. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering trust in God touched countless lives.
Fittingly, her favorite scripture, Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”guided her through every season of life. She trusted God fully, knowing that her strength, joy, and purpose came from Him.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, gladness, & resilience to – 4 adult children, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, a brother, and a beautiful sister — who will forever carry her teachings, her prayers, and her example of godly living in their hearts. Though her earthly presence will be missed, her spirit continues in the lives she shaped and the hearts she touched.
Carolyn, - AKA Mama, Mom, MaeMee, MawMaw, Aunt Caca, Cacky, and Mama Love - was a faithful wife, a caring sister, a loving aunt, and an amazing mother to her four adult children. She was also an entertaining grandmother, a huggable great-grandmother, a lively friend, and a strong pillar in her community. Her warmth, humor, gentle wisdom, and unwavering strength touched everyone blessed to know her.
Much of Mama Love’s journey was devoted to serving the Lord through her work in the church. She also shared her gifts through her years of service with the University of Houston and in real estate, always lifting others up with her kindness and compassion.
She is happily bickering with her sisters Margaret and Alice right now while God is saying “Well Done CaCa Jeanie, My Good and Faithful Servant.”
As you all know Mama adored ELVIS PRESLEY! She is dancing and singing with him now. Her favorite song was his rendition of How Great Thou Art!
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!
We close with a poem that reflects the dynamism, beauty, and eternal presence of CaCa’s life:
“Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep”
by Mary Elizabeth Frye
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Mama always said God is an ON Time God and she looked forward to the day she will be running on streets of gold after winning this game called Life. We rejoice knowing that she is now without discomfort, healed, whole, and rejoicing in the presence of Jesus, singing with the angels, surrounded by glory and dancing with Elvis. Today, we honor her life, her steadfast faith, and the gorgeous story she wrote through kindness, service, and passion.
We do not say goodbye, but “See you again, Mama, MaeMee, MawMaw, Cacky, Aunt CaCa, Mama Love”for we know that in Christ there is no end—only eternal existence.
Thank you for keeping the Love family in your prayers during this time. We invite you to join us in honoring and celebrating the beautiful life and everlasting legacy of Carolyn Jean Loper Love.
