Carmen Stela Alba's Obituary
Carmen “Stela” Alba, of Honduras, gained her angel wings on February 28, 2024, at the age of 80 in Missouri City, Texas, with her youngest son and daughter at her side. She was the first in her family to immigrate to a foreign country. She would make Chicago her first home and later moved to the Houston area. With her strength and perseverance, she began to build a future for herself and her family.
Carmen enjoyed traveling, dancing, spending time with family, reading Paulo Coelho books, watching novellas, and praying the rosary. Growing up on the shores of Tela, Honduras, she also gained a passion for the sea and the outdoors. She would always enjoy going fishing with her sons and grandsons.
After a long battle with cancer, she is now resting in peace within the warm embraces of her father Arístides Mejia, her mother Susana Mejia, sisters Edna Mejia, Rosa Consuelo Jimenez, and Margot Mejia, her brother Douglas Arístides Mejia, and her husband Jose Alba.
Carmen will be missed, and her loved ones will always remember her smile and beautiful spirit. A piece of her will always live on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly which includes her sons, daughters, brother and sisters, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
