Bruce Michael Kasten's Obituary
Bruce Michael Kasten was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on December 21, 1961, and passed unexpectedly in his sleep from an apparent heart attack on Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, 2025.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Jacqueline Alessie Kasten and Paul Kasten; his twin brothers, Bret and Bart Kasten; and his brother Scott Kasten.
He is survived by his sister, Stephanie Kasten, his aunt and uncle, Rosalyn and Irvin Labiner, and his cousins Alex Lieber-Alessie, Sandra Lieber-Alessie, Aaron Vaughan, Adriana Vaughan, Archer, and Ainsley Vaughan, Edie Weinstein, Terry Moon and Terri Labiner.
At the age of 17, Bruce came to live with his cousin in Houston, Texas, where he would spend much of his adult life. He made friends easily, blessed with the gift of conversation and a warm, engaging personality. Bruce possessed remarkable practical talents and was a gifted electrician, plumber, and carpenter. Over the course of decades, he helped countless people with their homes, working primarily in residential construction and, at times, in commercial projects as well.
Bruce loved sports, especially the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Rams. He was a devoted fan of ice hockey and also played basketball as a teenager and young adult.
Most importantly, Bruce was saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. He now rests in eternal joy with Him and is reunited with the loved ones who passed before him.
Bruce will be remembered for his skills, his generosity, his easygoing nature, and the many lives he touched through his work and friendships.
