Richard Rogers
My lifetime memories go back to when I was five years old. From that time, Dad wore his hair high and tight and he was ramrod straight. That continued well after he resigned from the Army until about 15 years ago, when he started to loosen up a bit. He didn't shed his military bearing just because he took his uniform off - he was in command at home, as well as many outside events that he pursued. He was in charge. My school years were the most difficult times for me in that respect, as I wanted to explore my personal freedoms.
